RTH AAIML Research Labs
(it is the only lab I’ll ever own)
I was a hobbyist coder back in the “painful” times (before mature IDEs and AI/Agentic development), then I did it professionally. I like to say I was vibe coding on the weekends before people even labeled it “vibe coding.” In the RTH R&D lab you’ll find and eclectic selection of software and hardware tools and projects, much of what was borne out of creating a seperate project or effort. If I though it was useful, I’ll package it and release it.
I am fluent in multiple coding and database languages and technologies; C++, PHP, Python, HTML, JS, CSS, T-SQL, MySQL, and Postgres. I have a Github site where I post all my open-source project stuff. Modern times has depricated the need ro much of that “old head” knowledge, so I find myself kicking it with Claude, Grok, Replit and Devin mostly now.
If I get nostalgic I’ll hand-roll a project from time to time, and that’ll almost always be in some flavor of PHP and MySQL. I’ve been using LAMP stacks since the late 90s / early oughts. However, this season of life seems to be very Python and PostgreSQL heavy and I am mostly doing things through agentic workflows or at a minimum with heavy AI code assist/complete in the IDE.
